BiPolar Disorder

What is Bipolar Disorder?

Bipolar Disorder is a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings. These mood swings include emotional highs, called mania or hypomania, and lows, called depression.

When someone is in a manic phase, they might feel overly happy, energetic, or confident, sometimes making risky decisions or acting impulsively. In the depressive phase, they can feel very sad, hopeless, or tired, and may have trouble doing everyday tasks.

Bipolar disorder isn’t just regular ups and downs—it’s more intense and can disrupt a person’s life. With the right treatment, like therapy and medication, most people can manage it and lead fulfilling lives.

Study Overview:

  • The purpose: The purpose of this paid clinical trial, is to evaluate a new therapy for individuals with Bipolar Disorder I or II that are expericing a depressive episode. This is an open-label clinical trial, meaning all patients will receive active treatment.
  • Compensation: You may receive up to $645 for your time and travel for both in-clinic and telehealth visits. All other study-related office visits, tests, and medication will be provided at no cost.
  • Pre-qualifications:
    • Must be between 18 and 70 years of age

Depression

What is Major Depressive Disorder or MDD?

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), or simply depression, is a mental health condition that goes beyond just feeling sad or down for a few days. It’s a deep, ongoing sadness or lack of interest in things that used to bring joy, lasting for weeks or longer.

People with MDD might feel:

  • Very tired or low on energy all the time.
  • Hopeless or worthless, like things will never get better.
  • Difficulty concentrating or making decisions.
  • Changes in sleep (too much or too little) or appetite (eating too much or too little).

It can make daily life, work, or relationships really hard, but it’s treatable with therapy, medication, or a combination of both. With the right help, most people can start feeling better over time.

Study Overview:

  • The Purpose: The purpose of this paid clinical trial is to evaluate a new therapy for individuals with MDD.
  • Compensation: You may receive up to $75 per visit for your time and travel.
  • Pre-qualifications:
    • Must be 18 to 75 years of age

Schizophrenia

What is Schizophrenia?

Schizophrenia is a serious mental health condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. People with schizophrenia may have trouble telling what’s real from what’s not.

They might:

  • Hear voices or see things that aren’t there (hallucinations).
  • Believe things that aren’t true (delusions), like thinking someone is out to harm them.
  • Have trouble thinking clearly or organizing their thoughts.

It can make everyday life challenging, but it’s not the same for everyone. With treatment like medication and therapy, many people with schizophrenia can manage their symptoms and live meaningful lives.

Study Overview:

  • The Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectivness of a prescription digital therapeutic (PDT) in combination with standard-of-care medications for individuals with Schizophrenia.
  • Compensation: You may receive up to $200 per in-person visits and up to $100 per telehealth visits. All other study-related visits, tests and medications will be provided at no cost.

Dermatology

Prurigo Nodularis (PN)

What is Prurigo Nodularis (PN)?

Prurigo Nodularis (PN) is a skin condition that causes very itchy, hard bumps to form on the skin. The itching can be so intense that people scratch a lot, which makes the bumps worse and more noticeable over time.

It often happens to people who already have skin conditions like eczema or other health issues. The exact cause isn’t fully understood, but it can be very uncomfortable and impact daily life.

The good news is that treatments like medications, creams, or light therapy can help reduce the itching and improve the skin.

Study Overview:

  • The Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a new topical treatment for Prurigo Nodularis or PN.
  • Compensation: You may receive up to $75 per completed visit. All other study-related visits, tests, and medication will be provided at no cost.
  • Pre-qualifications:
    • Must be 18-65 years of age
    • Diagnosed with Pruigo Nodularis for at least three (3) months.
      • If you are not sure if you have been diagnosed, but are expericing the symptoms of PN, contact us today to learn if you may qualify.

Pediatric Vitiligo

What is Vitiligo?

Pediatric Vitiligo is a condition where a child’s skin loses its natural color in certain areas, causing white patches to appear. This happens because the cells that give skin its color (called melanocytes) stop working or die.

Vitiligo isn’t contagious, painful, or harmful to a child’s physical health, but it can affect how they feel about their appearance. It can appear anywhere on the body and might spread over time, though the progression is different for every child.

While there’s no cure, treatments like creams, light therapy, or other options can help reduce the appearance of the patches. Most importantly, with love and support, kids with vitiligo can grow up feeling confident and proud of their unique skin.

Study Overview:

  • The Purpose: The purpose of this paid clinical trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a topical cream in pediatric patients with vitiligo.
  • Compensation: You may receive up to $150 per completed visit for time and travel. All other study-related visits, tests, and medications will be provided at no cost.
  • Pre-qualifications:
    • Must be 2 to 12 years of age
    • Must have symptoms or signs of Vitiligo (can be diagnosed with our provider)

Diabetic Foot Ulcer

What is a Diabetic Foot Ulcer?

Diabetic Foot Ulcer is a sore or open wound that develops on the foot of someone with diabetes. It happens because high blood sugar can damage nerves and blood vessels, making it harder to feel injuries or for wounds to heal properly.

These ulcers often start small, like a cut or blister, but can get worse if not treated, sometimes leading to serious infections.

Taking care of your feet every day, keeping blood sugar under control, and getting medical care quickly if a wound appears can help prevent or heal diabetic foot ulcers.

Study Overview:

  • The Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a topical therapy for non-infected diabetic foot ulcers.
  • Compensation: You may receive up to $50 per completed visit. All other study-related visits, tests, and medications will be provided at no cost.
  • Pre-qualifications:
    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Must be diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes
    • Have a current Diabetic Foot Ulcer
